Pleasure Garden is a systematized development of my earlier sculptures. With my earlier sculptures I wanted to give the beholder the possibility of finding additional dimensions by touching, feeling, looking (I would especially encourage people to look from behind, above and underneath) or putting the sculptures into motion. I learned that the viewerĮs resistance to deviate from their usual way of behaving was much bigger than I thought. This opened my eyes for the possibilities of Pleasure Garden. Pleasure Garden a sphere for various things, objects, actions and performance made by me or other people. I like to think of Pleasure Garden as a sort of amusement park i.e. a place where people actively participate in the different attractions. However in Pleasure Garden the roller coaster can mutate into a shooting gallery or rather, any attraction can develop in any direction and turn into anything depending on the participants. Pleasure Garden itself has no single location. However, it can be made manifest in installations, single works, performances, events (and so forth) known as Pleasure Garden "Satellites". The development
of Pleasure Garden is based on three methods: I use the methods separately or combined, I mix random incidents with carefully planned events. This way of working gives me an infinite number of possibilities and any action I take gives rise to new possibilities. In every event and at every stage everyone is invited to participate in Pleasure Garden. Pleasure Garden Director
