Schhh Artist Residency

with focus on sound art and art music

Schhh has done concerts, workshops, exhibitions performances and short residences for almost 10 years. We are now developing our activities further in order to better promote high-quality, innovative sound art and music production. For example are we expanding our residence program with longer residencies. We want to encourage collaboration and exchange among innovative artists. The residents can now have access to a concert hall next door that can seat up to 100 guests. Another feature is our project room that can be configured as an acousmonium, loudspeaker orchestra and various surround systems. The project room is also great for collaboration projects, multi channel immersive concerts and other public events. The studios can be set up according to resident request and the bedrooms are also equipped with a small mixer, speakers and headphones.

We are situated in the middle of a beautiful countryside in the south of Sweden with walking distance to beaches and nature providing great opportunities for both relaxation and work. The surroundings also provide nice field recording possibilities (we provide equipment). The residents have the opportunity to invite artists that they can work with for a week. There is a buss 100 meters from our front door that provides access to Malmö, Ystad and Copenhagen.
